Cooling products supplier to cut multiple jobs

Multiple jobs could be lost across Oxford and Kent as an UK cooling products supplier will undergo a major restructuring process, a news report can reveal.

Eaton Williams, a subsidiary of electronic device manufacturer Nortek, will be restructured after the parent company acquired Reznor LLC, which supplies heating products.

A statement from Nortek said: "There are considerable synergies between these businesses both in the markets served and the operations. Both businesses are focused on maximising service and improving their ability to deliver value to customer business.

"There will be some restructuring across the Eaton Williams business but this will ensure a stronger more agile approach leveraging the combined strengths of the Nortek Global HVAC division within Europe."

The statement added that the process could result in "number of redundancies" at Eaton Williams’ sites in Stoke, Oxford and Edenbridge.
