Hundreds of new homes could be built on former Uxbridge RAF base

Up to 249 new homes might be built on a on a triangular plot at St Andrew’s Park under plans submitted by a joint venture comprising construction group Vinci and St Modwen, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

The plans are for a variety of houses, from studio flats to three-bedroom apartments, and will offer a range of tenures including affordable, private sale and privately rented homes.

They will be built by St Modwen with some being sold and some being marketed for rent through the private rented sector.

The former RAF base has outline planning permission for 1,300 homes, 160 of which are already built on plots currently being developed by Charles Church and Persimmon Homes.
