Multiple jobs in danger at Berkshire wealth management company
A Berkshire-based wealth management company will make redundant 51 members of its operations team in a bid to streamline its activity, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.
Bellpenny said that while a total of 51 employees are currently in consultation, the final number of redundancies is expected to be lower.
The only area of the business to be affected is the operations team, which currently consists of 140 staff. The two offices affected are Reading and Birmingham.
Chief executive Nigel Stockton said: "We have acquired, and successfully integrated, 32 IFA businesses in the past three years, including ten in the last ten months alone.
"This has been a huge operational task requiring a substantial back office team. It should be no surprise that, now we’re a more mature business, the shape of our organisation needs to adapt to our future needs – especially given that we’ll be acquiring fewer, but larger, businesses moving forward.
