South East haulage firm goes into administration

A haulage firm that traded from depots in Plymouth and Didcot has gone into administration after it suffered from financial problems, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to suggest.

88 Distribution was offering haulage, courier and distribution services. Carl Jackson and Andrew Watling from business advisory firm Quantuma were appointed joint administrators on 29 August 2017 by the lender in the face of financial problems for the company. It is not yet known how many jobs are affected.

Carl Jackson said: "At this stage, it is too early to determine an outcome."

According to its website, 88 Distribution has 20 years’ experience in the transport industry and provided a fleet of vehicles ranging from vans to a 44-tonne truck.
