Porsche specialist moves to new premises thanks to Barclays

Autofarm, a Porsche specialist, has received support from Barclays. This has enabled the company to move to a new workshop in Boxengasse, Oxfordshire, and it has plans to increase the size of its workforce as well.

The new premises are hoped to make the business more streamlined and to make projects more efficient. All its team members, of which there are currently 17, are now based under the same roof, and more vacancies are expected to open soon.

Mikey Wastie, one of the two managing directors, said: "The new site at Boxengasse is the perfect place for the next chapter of Autofarm’s story.

"We have invested in the future of our team – giving them the space and the new technology that they need to create beautiful results for our clients and we now have room to grow and bring other elements of our organisation on site in the future."

Richard Huddleston, Barclays business manager in Oxford, added that they were: "pleased to support such a well-run strong local firm take the next steps in their business growth ambitions.

"This has to be great news for their customers, the firm and the local economy, and we wish them every success in the future."

Moving into brand new premises is a time to congratulate yourself for your success, but it is also the time, particularly if you intend to expand your staff roster in the future, to double-check that your existing systems can handle the increase.

Since it’s what we’re good at, we’ll talk about your time and attendance management system – the way that you record employee attendance and hours. Obviously this kind of a system is useful in waged roles, and if your premises is production or retail based, you likely already have some kind of system to measure these factors.

However, we believe passionately that time and attendance systems have their place in an office environment too. You might not need to know office staff hours to the minute, but our software and colourful graphical displays make it easy to record when they are late or ill, and to spot if there are any concerning patterns in their absences.

The WinTA.NET software also sends you useful alerts, such as if your team are exceptionally busy and risk breaching the European Working Time Regulations, or if someone is accidentally violating the minimum wage regulation.

Having your own purpose-built premises means that you can easily install physical clocking terminals in order to accurately measure your time and attendance. Our clocking terminals work either with employee fingerprints, or with contactless radio-frequency smartcards.
