Multiple jobs saved as marine construction firm is bought out of administration
Multiple jobs have been saved after a marine construction and civil engineering business with operations in Kent has been acquired out of administration, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.
Commercial Marine & Piling Ltd (CMP) has its head office in Ringwood, Hampshire, and a Kent office in Northfleet, Gravesend. The company was founded in 1986 and undertakes contracts across the UK, according to its website.
Benjamin Wiles and Geoffrey Bouchier, managing directors at Duff & Phelps, were appointed joint administrators of Commercial Marine & Piling Ltd (CMP) on 9 May. Shortly after the appointment, the business and assets of the company were sold to CMP-Barker Ltd and CMP Thames Ltd in a deal that has safeguarded 53 jobs.
