New “pro-working” space opens up in Shoreditch, London

Fora, a flexible workspace specialist in London, plans to open up another working space Arnold House development in Shoreditch.

Rather than offering yet another “co-working” space, Fora focus on wellbeing, hospitality, health and productivity to produce what they call “pro-working” spaces. This will be the company’s 11th such space.

Fora will move into a 40,000 square foot unit at Arnold House. The company will manage the front lobby, as well as providing its pro-working space with approximately 670 desks, breakout areas and a roof terrace.

CEO and co-founder, Enrico Sanna, said: “We are really excited to be able to offer our Residents a location in London’s leading tech, creative and start-up quarter.

“Shoreditch is another key location for Fora as we build our comprehensive London network, and has a mature co-working market and a proven, deep pool of demand.”

The space is expected to open at the end of 2019, situated alongside the neighbouring Shoreditch High Street development in New Inn Yard, which is due to open in 2020.

Enrico added: “Arnold House has been redeveloped to the very highest standards in keeping with Fora’s quality and style. We look forward to opening later this year.”

Many office-based businesses don’t see the point in using a time and attendance system, but we think differently.

It’s not like Big Brother – you don’t even need to take action on your data if you don’t want to. But we know from experience that companies find data that our products can offer them very useful in building up a bigger picture of their employees’ punctuality and productivity.

Company who don’t use time and attendance systems often say that it is good enough for the management to get employees to ring them about absences, and that they will notice suspicious lateness patterns.

But humans are fallible: that’s why we have computers! Unless the manager marks absences down on some sort of calendar that they refer to regularly they won’t notice any patterns, and lateness can be missed if the manager isn’t actively watching the door.

We’re sure you don’t want your capable managers’ time to be wasted by becoming a pencil-tapping clock-watcher multiple times a day. Getting a system to take care of all this time-wasting monitoring for you is just common sense.

Many time and attendance systems require physical hardware, which can’t be installed when you don’t own the place where you work. Others only work in the cloud, which may not be suitable for your company’s needs due to bandwidth, security and software compatibility concerns.

We are happy to be able to offer companies who utilise flexible workspaces (or in other ways work at a distance/of no fixed workplace) our Self Service Module (SSM).

This allows employees to clock in and out using either a browser version, or a mobile phone app. They can also request holiday using this app, which eliminates the need for cumbersome paper holiday forms. All the time data is sent straight to the central software, where you can view it in a number of formats.
